Andy & Company - Out of Business

I didn't hear it for myself, but it's my understanding that Andy Albertini called it quits today, resigning on the air. The reason for his abrupt departure might be the new Arbitron Ratings:

ARBITRON Quarterly Report

Note that WVTS (the station that carried Andy & Co.) doesn't appear anywhere on this list.

Can someone please start a decent local talk show? Please?

Was surprised to turn my radio on this morning and find Andy gone. He was a voice of the people, attacking local issues of great importance. Sorry to see you go Andy !

Please not Jerry !!

Wasn't the ratings. It was a family emergency. Seems he's moved to Wheeling to be with a family member. You don't do something like that based on ratings.

Ditto olfrt! We need someone who can challenge conventional wisdom without destroying people & things!

Goodbye Andy, what an terrible show, Andy should have run for public office since he knew so much about public policy, but then again he was one of those people who talk a big game but never backs it up with any action. Blowhard

Andy will be missed. Many people did in fact listen to him, and now they are left without any decent talk show to fill the time with. Andy focused on local issues, and the rest of WVTS's programming is repetitive national talk shows. I doubt they can do better than Andy, but we will see.

I agree 100 percent Phillip.

I'm glad that all three of Andy's loyal fans were able to post their support here.
