It's called "blue plume", which contains sulphuric acid mist and ammonia (from the scrubbing process).Same company (AEP) bought up a whole town due to the same problem in 2001... http://www.cheshiretransaction.com/town/sub/cngtown.html#blue
I didn't think it smelled that much of Chlorine myself. Maybe a 'tinge" at the most. It DID smell like a power plant stack however. Only problem is... we get temperature inversions all the time, and I don't recall this happening since the chemical plants shut down.
Berkeley County State Senator John Unger changed his mind and decided not to run for 2nd District Congress. That created an opening for Charleston's Anne Barth, a longtime assistant to U.S. Senator Robert Byrd. Barth will face Richie Robb and Thorton Cooper in the Democrat Primary with the winner taking on four-term incumbent Shelley Moore Capito in the fall election. Unger had already raised approximately $150,000 he had no chance ........ actually none have a chance against Shelley and who is this barth person ? a byrd wanns be like ?
